James Byrne
James Byrne was born in 1977 and studied in London. He had already impressed the literati in his local Buckinghamshire as a child before he hit the London poetry scene.
In London, James, in partnership with Niall O'Sullivan, started the young poets' showcase event New Blood at the Poetry Cafe in Covent Garden, and has gone on to read at several events including the Redbridge Literature Festival and the OXFAM Fest. He is also well known to US audiences in Virginia and other parts of the East Coast
Passages of Time, James' first collection of poetry, was published in December 2002. He is currently working on a second collection.
"Once in a while a new voice resonates so strongly in the poetic world that it simply cannot be ignored."
- Tony Buzan
