Since the release of his defining debut collection of poetry Black Angels with Sky Blue Feathers, Ainsley has since read at several universities and colleges worldwide, and been featured at festivals such as the Wordstock Festival in New York and the Lancaster Literature Festival in the UK. He also released another collection The Woman Who Isn't Was, in the US. He resides in New York and has recently completed his first novel, Land of Our Birth, due for release in 2008 in the UK and 2009 in the United States.
