The number one criterion for submitting to x is that you must be a live artist. You must read your work in public at least once every other month to be considered for publication.
We publish poetry as well as prose, and we prefer to take submissions from Writers' Groups or regular events so that we can have a few writers from one group/event featured at a time. We find this approach encourages a healthy degree of critiquing prior to our receiving work to publish.

GUIDELINES:
COVER ART: Please send your concept at 500px by 667px at 72dpi initially and the editor will request the final work after a choice has been made. Please do not send more than one cover concept. (Browse this website to see previous covers.)
SHORT PROSE: Stories should not exceed 5000 words in length and no more than two (2) stories should be submitted.
POETRY: There are no line length limitations for poetry, however, no more than five (5) poems should be submitted for any issue of the magazine. Also, please do not send us work that has never been edited. It's our pet peeve!
Open submission dates: February 1 - February 27 | May 1 - May 27 | August 1 - August 27 | November 1 - November 27 (submissions in any other period are likely to be deleted).
